After our congresswoman regretfully had to cancel as our officiant, due to the ongoing federal budget crisis, our good friends John Lewis and Stuart Gaffney stepped in as co-officiants, and we were so very fortunate to have them be the ones to marry us. The avatars that are used throughout our wedding design and decor were originally known as “Thomlet” and “Jefflet.” These cartoon versions of ourselves found themselves visiting sites all over virtual San Francisco, as well as cooking in, working out, and relaxing at home in Daly City.

Three musicians played and sang live during our ceremony. And, as one of the wedding favors, we designed and burned CDs that included selections from our ceremony and from our wedding playlists, grouped thematically.

Let’s check our handy-dandy countdown clock — it’s 55 days (!) to our wedding on September 26. I would’ve done a progress post 60 days out, but we had a couple of cake tastings this week, and I wanted to wait until after that. So here goes!
