On June 28, 2013, the day same-sex couples again were able to begin marrying in California after Prop 8 was found unconstitutional, we headed to San Francisco City Hall to apply for our marriage license.

On Thursday, September 26, 2013, four years to the day after our 2009 commitment ceremony, we were legally married at San Francisco City Hall in an intimate ceremony attended by 14 of our friends and family. Our dear friends and marriage equality heroes John Lewis and Stuart Gaffney served as co-officiants, and Jeff's mother was our witness.

Two days later we returned to the ocean-side Cliff House Terrace Room, on one of the most beautiful days of the year, where we hosted a reception for 110 of our family and friends to celebrate the end of Prop 8 and the beginning of yet another chapter in our life together.

We celebrated our lifelong commitment to each other at the historic Cliff House in San Francisco, California, on Saturday, September 26, 2009, surrounded by our friends and family.

After a week of discouragingly overcast weather, just an hour before our ceremony began, the sun broke through, the fog lifted, and temperatures climbed, giving us gorgeous views of the Pacific Ocean, Seal Rocks, and Ocean Beach as we said our vows.
